NISHA THACKER

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” ~Jim Rohn

Nisha Thacker is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a diverse nutrition and dietetic experience. APDs are university-qualified experts in nutrition and dietetics.

Having lived in India, Toronto and Australia has made her strongly believe in the adage “You are what you eat”. The fact that food assumes significance in all cultures has been reiterated time and again in all her experiences. She understood this not only during her academic years but also during her time spent at work and as a dietetic observer in Australian and Canadian hospitals.

To better understand the fascinating relationship between food, nutrients, dietary pattern, gut bacteria and gastrointestinal health, Nisha is now undertaking PhD at University of Newcastle.

Nisha is passionate about health and she hopes to contribute to the goal of keeping people healthy by imparting valuable knowledge and evidence-based advice about food and nutrition. Nisha loves to cook and share her cooking experience and recipe modifications.
